Summer Fun

The first picture is of Aubrey's first trip to the pool. She pretty much screamed her head off the whole time. She is so not a fan of the water right now but has a good time during baths. We have since bought a small pool for our yard trying to get her use to it which is still not working. We will keep working on it. The other is of Aubrey having play time with our friend's Ben and Maria's son, Corbin. We had some fun play time.

We are having a great time watching Aubrey grow so much these days. It seems each day brings about new change. She is eating so well and loves vegetables. She is eating broccoli and brussel sprouts now and that is impressing me. She is crawling everywhere which is just crazy during the day. She learned just this week to climb our stairs and does it like a maniac now. Of course we are following behind her all the way. She stands on everything and is cruising down the couch. Not walking but learning to balance herself. We have finished breastfeeding which was certainly a bitter sweet ending. She transitioned well and I'm happy about that. She is so much fun and I can't believe she is nearing 10 months old. We are getting ready to leave for Las Vegas this coming week and it will be my first length of time away from Aubrey and I truly don't know how I will deal with it but I know it will be best for us. I need the time away with John and know that Aubrey will do great with her Nana and Grandpa. She has spent the night with them several times and is very comfortable with them. This will be good for us all to have some time a part and connect with each other. I know though I'll definitely be ready to come back and see my baby girl.

That's it, sorry for all the info. Things are getting busier and busier around here and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hudson didn't like the pool last year and is a total water bug this year! :) In fact, I wish he had just a little bit of fear of the water! Aubrey is so precious! Have a blast in Las Vegas! You will miss Aubrey, but if you guys are anything like me and Colin, you will definitely appreciate the late mornings and time to enjoy one another without a baby pulling at you!

She is getting to be such a big girl! I can't believe how big Corbin is either! :)

It truly is amazing to watch them learn and grow and do all kinds of new things.

Have fun in Vegas! You will be happy to come home to Aubrey and I'm sure miss her while you're gone, but it is so nice to be apart for a little while. You deserve a great vacation! Have a blast!!!

Stephanie, somehow I remembered that Hudson did not like the pool last year from your blog. It kinda gave me comfort knowing this wasn't just her. I know all babies are different and some adjust to things differently. Her cousin loves the water like crazy. Glad to hear that this year Hudson is liking it more. I know it will only be a matter of time for her. I bet Hudson can't wait to meet his little brother. How much fun!

That first pic is so funny and so sad! Oh little Aubrey! I'm sure it will be something she'll get through as you guys keep working with her. Have a great trip!

Have fun on your vacation! Daniel and I havent had one since I was pregnant with Zachariah. We haven't been away from him for more than a couple hours. So unfortunately I have a feeling it will be a little while before we get to take a first lengthy vacation. But boy I cannot wait till that day comes. :) Make sure to post lots of pictures and tell us all about it!

About Me

Aubrey is full of energy, full of questions and full of love! Everything I do in my given day is somehow wrapped around her! You could think some of it is about me but truthfully, it's about her. Life has it's up's and down's so this blog may have the same. I trust the Lord with my whole heart and pray for Aubrey to do the same! If you ever have questions about my life or a post, always feel free to leave a comment.
