So Aubrey is nearing 14 months old and I just can't believe that. I thought some of you who maybe look over this blog might like to know what is going on with her. She caught her first ear infections a week ago and was a totally different child. It was definitely hard as her mother watching her feel so bad and not being able to tell me. We made it through though. Since she is 14 months...here are 14 things about her that you may not know.
1. Aubrey is cutting her molar teeth. This means lots of drooling and some whining but not much. She still sleeps amazing!
2. She can give hugs and kisses now. They are my favorite and I love stealing them from her.
3. She now says Momma and Dada. She can say a few other words too, like; Thank you, Dog, Nana, and Duck. Her vocabulary is sorta slow but she comprehends well. She can sit on her bottom when asked to.
4. She eats like a pig! She is a great eater and has not shown any signs of being a picky eater. I love that about her.
5. Her favorite toy is the kitchen drawer. My house is a wreck daily due to her pulling out everything in her little drawer and displaying it on the floor. I clean it up during nap time all for her to pull back out again.
6. She is walking so well. Has begun taking steps on her feet and not knees. She can now walk up and down hills well.
7. Aubrey hits her own face. I know crazy right, but when told the word no, she begins hitting her face. She just started this. Then of course when I tell her not to do that she continues to do so. I promise she has not seen this around the house to mimic! ha ha ha
8. Aubrey is taking one nap a day. It's sporadic because it depends on wake time and how long that nap is. We are right in the transition phase from two to one nap a day. I miss the two I can tell you that!
9. Aubrey loves to talk on the phone. She plays with my cell phone all the time. (I apologize if you are getting phone calls from Aubrey, she just wants to talk.) When I ask her to say hey to Daddy she grabs it and put to her ear and says Dada. I guess she does talk on the phone a lot to him.
10. She loves to dance. She can even turn on radio's within her reach by herself and begins dancing. She twirls too while dancing. She might be a ballerina, who knows!
11. She is all girl! She doesn't like dirt or sand or anything to be touching her hands. She can't stand pools at all and screams when near one, but she loves her bath. She will play and splash in her bath all day long.
12. She continues to amaze me with sign language. She can sign Hungry, More, Thank you, and All finished and knows what they mean. It is a great way to communicate with her.
13. She is sometimes scared of dogs. She loves Sandie, John's parents dog, but does not like other dogs usually. It takes her some time to warm up to them.
14. She has not had her vaccinations yet. She is shot free and doing well.
So it was hard coming up with 14 things. Each day seems like she is adding new sounds or words to her vocabulary. She really is changing from a little baby to a little girl. She is so much fun!
